Ekal on Wheels

A trailblazing effort to bring digital literacy to the most underserved youth in India's remotest villages. Ekal on Wheels is a mobile computer lab that provides digital literacy training to youth in rural villages.

Developed in partnership with IIT Bombay's Spoken Tutorial Project, Ekal on Wheels won the Digital India Conclave's Digital Trailblazers Award in 2016.

The Curriculum

The Ekal on Wheels curriculum focuses on building technology skills and financial literacy, and entrepreneurship development. Most students are first learners and have never used computers before.
